释义	即物穷理 jí wù qióng lǐ 一般成语基本出处〔phil.〕search for ultimate ideas through concrete phenomena程朱理学的主要范畴之一。指“理”在物先，事事物物皆是“理”的表现，要依据具体事物穷究其“理”。繁体即物窮理明·徐爱《传习录·答顾东挢书》：“来书云：闻语学者，乃谓‘即物穷理’之说亦是玩物丧志，人取萁‘厌繁就约’‘涵养本原’数说标示学者，指为晚年定论，此亦恐非。朱子所谓格物云者，在即物而穷其理也。”
