释义	嫌名 xián míng与人姓名字音相近的字礼不讳嫌名。《礼记·曲礼上》郑玄注：“嫌名，谓音声相近，若禹与雨，丘与区也。”古礼臣子避君父名讳时，不讳声音相近的字。后世讳法加严，讳同字亦讳嫌名。如汉宣帝名询，改荀卿为孙卿；隋文帝以父名忠，凡官名有中字者，悉改为内；唐李贺父名晋肃，当时士大夫认为晋、进音同，李贺不该举进士。
