释义	海門天險 hǎi mén tiān xiǎn台闽地区一级古迹。基隆二沙湾炮台。创建于清道光二十年西元一八四○年。面对著基隆港口，地势险要，有城门一座，拱门上方题额「海门天险」四字。这座炮台在中英鸦片战争后，英军侵台时发挥无比的威力。毁于光绪十年西元一八八四年中法战争中，城墙、城门仍甚完整。民国六十八年，基隆市政府曾予以规划整修。在今存台湾地区几座古炮台中，此炮台完全由国人设计建造，弥足珍贵。
