释义	留後 liú hòu官職名。猶留守、留臺。帝王離京留在京師總攝政事之官。官職名。唐中葉後，藩鎮坐大，節度使遇有事故，往往以其子侄或親信將吏代行職務，稱節度留後或觀察留後。亦有叛將推翻統師，自稱留後，而後由朝廷補行正式任命者。北宋以後，名漸廢。惟詩文中仍以指稱擁兵抗上的權臣。
