苔蘚植物
tái xiǎn zhí wù
陆上生长的绿色植物中最原始的一类。苔藓植物门，包括苔纲和藓纲，约二千四百种。此类植物都很矮小，高度不超过十公分，喜生长在潮湿的环境中。它的植物体是扁平的叶状拟叶体，没有真正的根、茎、叶分化和维管组织，根状假根主要用于固著与吸收水分、养分，其配子体发达而孢子体退化。覆盖在岩石、林木及落叶层上，具有保存水分及减缓水土流失的功用。
