释义	長編 cháng biān指卷帙繁多的书籍。撰写编年史前﹐先行搜集资料﹐按次排列。称为长编。宋司马光编订《资治通鉴》﹐先成长编﹐然后删定成书。南宋李焘编订北宋九朝编年史﹐谦言不敢续《通鉴》﹐名为《续资治通鉴长编》。后亦指汇集资料有待删订撰写成书的其他著作的草稿本。著述者在撰写成书之前，搜集有关材料并整理编排而成的初稿。如宋司马光编通鉴先成长编。较长编幅的著作。如长编小说。也作「长篇」。长编
